Childhood Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma

specific

A histologic subset of rhabdomyosarcoma consisting of a malignant mesenchymal neoplasm occurring in children. It is characterized by the presence of round cells with myoblastic differentiation, and a fibrovascular stroma resembling an alveolar growth pattern.
