Cervical Squamous Cell Carcinoma

general

A squamous cell carcinoma arising from the cervical epithelium. It usually evolves from a precancerous cervical lesion. Increased numbers of sexual partners and human papillomavirus (HPV) infection are risk factors for cervical squamous cell carcinoma. Survival is most closely related to the stage of disease at the time of diagnosis.
