A cutaneous melanoma that develops on sun exposed sites with low cumulative sun damage (CSD). It is characterized by a prominent junctional and intraepidermal component with intraepidermal proliferation of individual atypical melanocytes and formation of nests of atypical melanocytes along the dermal-epidermal junction.
