specificBreast cancer genetics involve clinical, epidemiologic and/or laboratory evaluations of individuals and their families who are at high risk of developing breast cancer due to hereditary predisposition. These studies are aimed at identifying susceptibility genes for breast cancer and their associated molecular and genetic aberrations, as well as the functions of their encoded proteins.
