Lung Cancer, Small Cell
specificA highly aggressive carcinoma with neuroendocrine differentiation that arises from the lung. It is characterized by the presence of malignant small cells and more than 10 mitoses per 2 mm2. Necrosis is frequently seen. Metastatic disease is usually present at the time of diagnosis.
