A finding indicating that a cancer is resistant to platinum therapy. For non-gynecologic cancers, the terms "platinum-resistant" and "platinum-refractory" are used interchangeably. For gynecologic cancers, it refers to cancer progression between one and six months of completing the last platinum therapy.
