Cutaneous Merkel Cell Carcinoma
specificA rare aggressive neuroendocrine carcinoma that arises from the skin and most often affects older individuals. It is usually located in the head, neck, and extremities. The tumor is composed of small round cells with scanty cytoplasm. Merkel cell polyomavirus is implicated in the majority of cases.
